Gabe is a tall, thickly built left-handed pitcher/1st baseman/LHP who showed above average hands in movement around the bag at first base and a strong accurate arm during his throws. During his BP session he stung half the pitches he saw. He could use a little more load and create better separation, this will also help him create more power and leg drive during his swing. Gabe's game at-bats were solid, he barreled up and drove the ball successfully smashing a long double in one of his at-bats. On the mound Gabe's arm strength did not match up to what he showed on the infield his velocity was clock between 77 and 75 mph with his fastball. He featured a slower delivery, very deliberate, no explosion off the rubber. There is more in the tank and the potential to be a good left-handed starter down the line.
