Drake is a athletic looking infielder with slightly above average actions with his hands and feet on the infield, with a slightly below average arm suited to 2nd base. At the plate during his BP session he had a solid set up but would occasionally lose his balance and create an inconsistent swing path. Despite not using his legs he did manage to barrel up half of the pitches presented to him, and his game swings featured some hard-hit balls also.  Fundamentally sound defensive player with contact bat skills and what seemed to be a good baseball IQ.
