Juan is a quick athletic middle infielder, he showed above average actions with his hands and feet, and a slightly above average arm during the infield portion of the workout.  During games he showed up as a confident and creative playmaker with a chance to contribute at a HIGH level up the middle of the infield.  His BP session featured line drives around the field, however he could create more separation and use his legs more to help drive the ball into the gaps. Half of the Juan's games swings resulted in solid struck balls sprayed around the ballpark. On the mound, he was sneaky smooth with an aggressive, out-hunting demeanor, he got quick outs and his fastball range between 81 mph and 79 mph, while his breaking ball was clock between 67 and 65 mph, he had slight arm side run.  Juan can use some more drive down the mound to gain velocity.  Juan will be a solid two way contributor next spring, with a chance to play as a strongly contributing player at the D1 level.  He has a chance to play everyday as an infielder and also contribute as a middle reliever.
