Colton is a compactly built player, during the BP session he featured quick hands and some power potential as he drove the ball to the gaps, his swing and set up were a little jumpy, causing him to lose his barrel during the swing. On the mound he featured a loose arm action. His mechanics are in need of some adjustments as he had little to no front side with his glove and was not using his legs much.  His CB has decent spin and velocity. He showed an understanding for pitching and has the look of a player who has succeeded at the high school level so that gives him a chance to continue to evolve.
