Mitch is a right-handed hitting middle infielder who featured soft hands and solid footwork during his defensive session. At times he stood up too quickly to throw, a solid :right left pick it up right left throw" and "catch the ball off his left eye and stay down approach" will keep him ahead of the curve defensively. Arm strength played out as average. During BP, Mitch featured an athletic stance, with a minimal load which caused some timing issues and resulted in a pull side approach. During the games he had some quality ab's, as he saw and fought off some tough pitches. Flattening out his stroke and creating a solid inside half approach will serve Mitch well as he develops.
