Marek is a middle infielder with an average arm and good infield actions, he throws with a low three-quarter slinging motion and needs to adjust to a higher arm slot, as well as work hard on catching ground balls off of the left eye side. During BP, he used the pull side of the field, his timing was a bit off in the swing was somewhat choppy at contact. His game swings produced some hard hit ground balls and a few "just missed" fly balls, and a double on a hard hit ground ball down the third baseline. There is bat speed, the swing path needs a slight adjustments/flatten out, but when all said and done Marek looks to be a promising young prospect who plays the game with good instincts and usable baseball skill.
