Aiden is a solid right handed hitting catcher with soft hands and an above average arm. He sits slightly high behind the plate and somewhat side saddle with runner on first as he prepares to throw. Staying squared up to pitcher, and keeping the target wide for the pitcher would be a nice adjustment to make. Aiden throws with a low slinging 3/4 arm action that should be corrected to a high 3/4 slot to improve accuracy and speed. His pop times ranged between 1.97 and 2.14 during the workout session and threw a 2.36 during a game. The quickness is there, better technique, move through ball as he throws to 2b, arm up, fingers behind ball, are all things to work on, as well as his body creating positive straight movement towards 2b. At the plate, Aiden features a high leg kick that at times causes him to lose balance as can get too big and fast. Slow it down and start early for max consistency. This caused Aiden's timing to be hit or miss during his game at-bats, as he mixed in some hard hit balls with some swings and misses.
