Shea is a big, athletic, and smooth defender, with above average actions and an above average arm. He is a solid player with good feel in the field. During batting practice Shea has an athletic stance, with a solid negative load and a short swing path the ball. He used only the pull side of the field but the hands were quick enough to project gap plus power. With a better overall approach during the games, he hit several hard ground balls for singles and smoked a double to left field. He moves easily on the bases, with good acceleration and has the capability to steal bags, score from 2nd and go from 1st to 3rd. On the mound the featured a high athletic three quarter delivery, fell slightly to first base side with his head, and could use a longer stride to increase his velocity, which was 82 to 81 mph with his fastball, and 71 mph with his curveball. Shea Will be a simpactful contributor for his high school team.
