A tall right-handed pitcher with an excellent frame and build, Garrett featured a high over the top delivery, with some herky-jerky deception. His mechanics could use a cleanup, as the front side glove did not match his stride foot to the plate. Given his height there very well could be considerably more in the tank, as his fastball was between 78 and 77 mph and he showed a breaking ball at 63 mph. More drive off the back leg and aggressive lean to the plate will help create more arm speed. There is more there and as a 2018 grad, he's got time to work.
