Ruben is it solid and well-built first baseman, maybe 3b, or outfielder in his future as he leans up in college. He has advanced bat speed and an above average athletic arm and actions for a big man. He is also a solid runner, clocking a 4.55 on a ground ball he hit to 2nd base. At the plate he could use some mechanical work to clean up the load and create long term consistency at the next levels. His swing is lightning quick though, and Ruben dominated, he pounded the ball out of the ballpark, and around the field during both is BP and in game at-bats. He looks like a young Miguel Cabrera. On the mound Ruben featured an athletic delivery, his fastball set between 83 and 82 mph, and he spun a breaking ball at 68 mph. He had solid command and good feel off mound. He is one of the better big athletes around.
