Michael is a 6'0" tall strong bodied first baseman, during his defensive session he displayed soft hands and capable feet around the bag, and the ability to throw on the move, and for strikes. During his BP session he had a strong solid set up, and showed power, along with quality use of his legs. He barreled up five of eight pitches he saw. With his in-game swings he barreled up balls in 2 at-bats and made some quality passes on other swings. This off-season Michael should keep working on his athleticism and his ability to stay on top of the ball.  He's got a chance to be an above average defensive 1B with the offense expected at that position.
