Jacob is a 6 foot tall strong athletic body infielder, who showed soft hands and above average actions on the infield, along with an above average arm. During his BP session, Jacob barreled up quite a few of the eight pitches he saw, though his timing was off a bit, his strength and bat speed was still visible.  He featured a small lift and was not hitting through the baseball, which likely was due to trying to drive the ball far in a showcase environment. During the game he had a hard line drive single in five at-bat's but results are not the end story for this talented player. With a sound approach at the plate, combined with his defensive ability (and we are told that he is an exceptional catcher as well) Jacob could make a big splash in the spring.
