Devon is a 2018 catcher/1B who has an average to slightly above average high school arm, during his defensive session he threw his pop times between 2.42 and 2.51 seconds, the foot speed can use some quickening, this will also shorten the arm stroke and shave some time. During BP, Devon used only the left side of the field, as it looked like he was early to ball, though his balance, tempo, and barrel contact were all good.  During the games he created much better timing, hitting several balls hard, and drawing some walks, while adding a double and another hard hit ball on a line to the 2nd baseman.
