Lean body build, 3/4 slot, w/loose arm action, and arm side run. Nodal's stuff is very slippery and he's hard to barrel up. Nodal pitched down in the zone with the confidence of a crafty lefty well beyond his years. His breaking ball is tight at times but many had loose action that can tighten up with more finger pressure. As a 2017 he still has a lot of development ahead, a nice arm program, lengthening his stride off the rubber, and gain velocity that will come with natural progression. He can gain MORE deception with a stronger front/glove side, and create a number of deceptive picks to 1B. He flashed three pitches. Offensively and defensively he was very competent and showed that he is an athlete who will be able be developed by the right coaches beyond HS. He's similar to former USF lefty Christian Cecilio.
