Jonathan has a good catcher's frame, he is compact and as he matures physically will even look more the part. He had a nice set-up hitting, small load with a short quick swing, demonstrated gap power during batting practice, but chased some pitches out of zone during games. He sets up slightly high behind the plate, and gets caught letting his left elbow drift inside his right knee at times because of his set up. His hands worked soft and he did a good job blocking the ball. He threw well and accurate to 2nd base, with times ranging from 2.18 to 2.37. he was 2.22 during the game. He had a good transfer, but carried the ball like a quarterback instead of separating all from glove early and out front. With some defensive adjustments he could be sub 2.00  very soon. Jonathan has a bright future behind the plate if he embraces the "tools of Knowledge" with a work ethic worthy of the position.
