Nathan is a well-built 2018 1B with an average arm and solid 1B actions.  He is a good target at first base and used his feet well around the bag. At the plate Nathan has a few mechanical things he can correct, such as a slight lift in his swing which is caused not by swinging up, but by dipping the back shoulder.  Along with the tilt, his approach generally got his barrel around the ball, with a pull side focus. With a disciplined middle of the field/left center field approach Nathan will shine as a hitter. He is strong, and being strong, he should forget about trying to be a pull hitter, but a full field hitter. Think like a left-hander in Fenway Park... drive the ball to the wall.
