Jacob is a 2017 RHP/3B. On the mound he featured a fastball that ranged between 83 and 81 mph, a curve ball between 69 and 66 mph, and the change that came in slightly hard at 73 mph. Good solid command early firing from a high 3/4 delivery, at times he slowed down his arm speed to spin his curveball, when this happened it was loopy. Lost command to the glove size of his fastball later in an outing, perhaps working too hard for velocity. He's got a quick arm and is a good athlete, which should allow him to make adjustments and mechanical tweaks. At the plate Jacob smoked a line drive single and hit a couple of hard hit ground balls. He's got ability with the bat and should not just be considered a pitcher only.
