Cole is an athletic catcher with a smaller frame, with a solid set up behind the plate and soft capable hands. During the defensive session he had pop times to second base that ranged between 2.25 and 2.36 seconds. Cole showed average catching/receiving ability with an average arm, he did have slightly above average footwork for his age. During the game Cole's pop times ranged between 2.39 and 2.33.  Cole had a solid set-up at the plate during his batting practice session and did a great job of spraying the ball around the park, and then in the games he barreled up balls, collecting hits in consecutive at-bats and found other hard contact and his other at-bats. With a strong strength and throwing program Cole should develop into a solid defender at the catcher position, making himself marketable to the next level of competition.
