Kaipo is a 6 foot three athletic first base/right-handed pitcher, who displayed above average actions, footwork, and soft hands around the bag at first base. He also displayed a solid above average arm and the ability to throw on the move for strikes. At the plate he hit four of eight pitches he saw hard for line drives he featured a small negative load.  He could use his body and lower half better in his swing, but the hands worked well as they were flat and direct to the ball. His in-game at-bats he was more hit and miss as he had some strikeouts and a hard hit a line drive double. On the mound he featured a fastball at 77 to 74 mph and a breaking ball at around 68 mph. He was very inconsistent with his release point and his mechanics, causing some issues with control. With Kaipo's size, a solid throwing program should bump his velocity to another level as he is more than capable of throwing harder, as shown when he did his defensive work.
