Christopher is a strong athletic catcher, with average to slightly above average quickness with his feet and hands behind the plate. During his defensive session he showed above average arm strength and the ability to throw pop times between 2.01 and 2.09. His game pop times were around the same at 2.05 and 2.11. He made some great snap throws to first base and looks to be a more than capable defender behind the plate. During his BP session he featured quick hands, but had a small collapse on his backside that resulted with him losing his barrel during the swing. During his in-game at-bats he hit several fly balls and a hard hit line drive to right center field. Chris' catching should make him a marketable commodity come this spring and the bat certainly has a chance to come along.
