Nathan is a strong armed 2018 catcher, who showed soft capable hands and the ability to block the ball, during his practice session, Nathan displayed pop times between 2.04 and 2.18 seconds. He achieved this mainly with mechanics that can improve, involving his footwork and forward movement. During the game those pop times work 2.33 and 2.29, with accurate throws, both caught a runner stealing. With some hard work in the cleanup and the mechanics those time should be in the 1.9 range. At the plate, Nathan had a steepish swing path, that caused him to miss under the ball and created some just missed swings during the game. He did have impressive line drive double to left center field.
