Jason is a physical and large third baseman with an average to slightly above average arm across the infield. He could use a solid dose of ladder drills and jump rope to quicken up his feet and hands to stay at the hot corner. Jason's strength did not show up during BP, as he did not use his legs/lower half as well as he can, his approach seem to be rooted in generating his strength from his upper body rather than syncing the lower half and the upper half together to create a smooth powerful swing. During the game he crushed a double off the center field wall and hit another double hard to left field. Since Jason is big and strong, he should create more depth in his swing and build a swing path that can handle different pitches and stay with an approach that drives the ball from gap to gap.  His power potential is very real.
