Kanoa is a tall and strong right-handed pitcher, with smooth mechanics and and easy delivery. He throws from a three-quarter arm slot, and takes a solid stride to the plate. During his delivery he could use his glove better, by keeping it above his left foot as he strides, that will ultimately give him more velocity and help repeat his delivery with consistency. His fastball sat between 85 and 83 mph, and he spun up a solid breaking curveball at 67 mph. With a solid fall throwing/weight program, Kanoa should pop up on the college radar this spring.
