Mason is a lean and athletically built RHP. He has a smooth and easy delivery with solid mechanics that are repeatable, he has a slightly shorter stride and his velocity would benefit from more leg drive and torque from his upper body. His current fastball velo sat between 81 and 79 mph, touched up to 82, and Mason featured a solid breaking ball at 71 mph, with late sweeping action. He's got good late life on his FB and at his best he finishes his pitches well, working down in the zone with the ability to force ground ball contact.
