BAWS 2019 - May 31-June 2 - Islanders Field (Lathrop, CA)

Bay Area World Series 2019 - May 31-June 2 - Islanders Field at River Island, Lathrop (CA)

BAWS 2019 will be covered by PBR California... very cool!

Welcome to the info page for BAWS 2019. We are excited about next year's event, which was the first major event held at brand new Islanders Ballpark at River Islands in Lathrop. BAWS will be the FIRST showcase (w/games) at this beautiful new facility. Additionally...

Prep Baseball Report California will be officially scouting BAWS 2019. What does that mean? It means A LOT

ALL players will receive:
* BAWS jersey
* Exposure
to the college coaches in attendance
* Video of pro style workout posted to your PBR profile (pitchers videoed during game warm-ups)
* Headshot for your PBR profile
* Workout stats recorded and posted to your profile (position velocity, exit velocity, running time, pitchers' velocities, pop times, etc)
* Professional scouting report posted to your PBR profile (to learn how to create your own free PBR Profile, read further)

ALL of THAT! There really isn't a better value or local opportunity

Select players will be highlighted during the event on the various PBR social media platforms such as Twitter @PBR_California & @Clemmens_PBR & @BayAreaWS and Instagram @pbrcalifornia - GIVE US A FOLLOW and see what we have to say about you.

There will be post event follow up including stat leaders, top prospect lists, reports, updated state rankings for select players, consideration for regional and national level PBR invite only events, and so much more. ALL of this for your registration to BAWS 2019! Links to previous events coverage... it's quite extensive

BAWS is the longest running showcase of it's kind in Northern California (established 2004) and PBR is the most respected independent scouting resource in all of amateur baseball in the nation.

Over 900 colleges and pro scouts have subscriptions to PBR, while over 30 former BAWSr's have reached the big leagues and over 750 former BAWSr's have gone on to D1 baseball, with hundreds others playing at other four-year level programs. That just means we've seen a lot of talented kids over the years and have enjoyed seeing them on their journey.

Don't yet have a PBR profile?
The following link will detail what this entails...
Create your FREE PBR Player Profile

- Face a minimum of 9 hitters (pitchers often end up facing anywhere from 10-12 batters over the course of the event and generally will pitch in two games)

* Note: POs... We know that many pitchers are also contributing HS position players but the idea is to showcase the BEST of what you do. Position players will not be taking innings on the mound, therefore, pitchers won't be taking position player opportunities in the field.
- Batting practice evaluation (8 swings)
- Defensive workout evaluation at ONE position
- Fair and equitable amount of defensive field time during the games, both at your primary position as well as other positions on the field

2-WAY PLAYER (position player & pitcher)
- Batting practice evaluation (8 swings)
- Defensive workout evaluation at ONE position
- Fair and equitable amount of defensive field time during the games, both at your primary position as well as other positions on the field
- Pitch 1 inning or a minimum of 3 batters. It also possible that you will pitch more than that, possibly in two games

NOTE: BAWS Director needs to approve participation as a 2-way player
