Matt has a great catcher's frame & demonstrated the ability to stay low while receiving the ball w/soft hands. He blocked well & threw very well to 2nd base. His pop times were competitive and will get lower with a quieter and more compact delivery, but his arm is very strong. For his age, he is an above average defensive catcher. His arm strength is complimented by a short & quick arm action. At the plate, he featured a short compact swing that allowed him to drive the ball into the gaps. Look for Matt to excel at the next level.
