Big frame, workhorse type body, 3/4 arm slot, projectable arm action with stuff that should keep on developing, Had some mechanical gliches as he was breaking his hands too early and not reaching with lead foot to plate. also was falling to 1B side with a gate like leg kick. Those are fixable mechanics. Boyle creates good down angles with his pitches when his hand separation is on-time. More velocity and competitive baseball is for sure in his future if he develops both a solid throwing and strength training program. At the plate, he has a presence that suggests a big bang is coming. However due to a set up that did not have a proper load timing, coupled with a swing path that was geared for going around the ball, rather than staying to the inside and driving it with backspin to the large part of the field, the results that he's capable of weren't there in this event. This youngster can be really good but he will need discipline, working smart and focused and setting goals for who he wants to be are going to be the key.
