Kempton Brandis - '18 Petaluma HS #6·P/1B/OF

5'9" 140, L/L, 3.20 GPA

Kempton plays with energy and enthusiasm, he is a good outfielder with a good arm and good reads of ball flight. At 1B he has soft hands and right at home around the bag, showing he has good footwork and the ability to dig balls out of the dirt. As a hitter showed good aggressiveness at the plate and featured a flat swing that should allow him to be a top of the order hitter. On the mound he was competitive and his feel of the zone will sharpen up if he settles into a regular pitching routine.  He has an easy delivery and the ball came out of his hand easily. He showed a nice tempo and good armside run with a high 3/4 delivery. As he grows and fills out watch that velocity climb, since he is LHP he should work on developing 3 special picks to 1B.
