Bay Area World Series

There have been years when a former BAWSr was the #1 overall pick (Mark Appel) and plenty of former BAWSrs who were selected in the first round in other years. 

There are also the years when it takes a few rounds before we hear/see the name of a former BAWS participant in the draft, with the first being selected in round six this year.

Recently Cubs RHP Hunter Bigge became the 49th BAWSr to reach MLB. The hard throwing RHP is a Los Gatos HS grad who was selected out of Harvard University in the 12th round of the 2019 draft.

This year the total of former BAWS participants to be drafted and/or sign an undrafted free agent contract (257) grew yet again as day three of the MLB draft is now complete...
