Former Campolindo HS star got a call-up to Pirates in September

Since the event was created in 2004 there have been 35 past participants who have reached the Big Leagues.  In the 2019 season both Braden Bishop, Drew Jackson, and James Marvel made their debuts. Coincidentally, both Bishop and Jackson have brothers who are significant in the game. Jackson's older brother Brett was a first round pick of the Cubs out of Cal (Miramonte HS) and got to the big leagues with the Cubs (was at BAWS I & II), while Bishop's younger brother Hunter was a first round pick of the Giants in 2019 out of ASU (Serra HS) and a BAWSr in 2013/2014.

There are three former participants who ended the 2019 season on the Mets (RHP Chris Flexen, RHP Drew Gagnon, 3B J.D. Davis). Currently these players are either established contributors and/or are on active rosters:

Athletics RF Stephen Piscotty, Dodgers CF Joc Pederson, Rockies RHP Bryan Shaw, Athletics SS Marcus Semien, Free Agent RHP Kyle Barraclough, Mariners OF Mitch Haniger, Phillies C Andrew Knapp, Angels C Max Stassi, Mets 3B J.D. Davis, Nationals RHP Joe Ross (World Series CHAMP!), Reds RHP Robert Stephenson, Dodgers RHP Dylan Floro, Free Agent LHP Robbie Erlin, Reds INF Alex Blandino, Mets RHP Drew Gagnon, Mets RHP Chris Flexen, & White Sox RHP Evan Marshall

There are plenty of other former event participants who are also legitimate prospects and making noise in their organizations and we will keep an eye out for who is BAWS-to-MLB #36! We are keeping a close eye on LHP Clayton Andrews (Maria Carrillo HS/Cabrillo JC) of the Brewers, who was in the Arizona Fall League.
