Valley Team (Light Blue)
OF Hunter Jansen (6'0" 170), Clovis North HS
Physical body type while also having athleticism. Both the bat talent and arm project favorably for a corner outfield position. Strength plays with the bat, aggressive to pullside w/some present pop. Real chance to develop playable power.
RHP Kobe Gong (6'0" 160), Westmont HS
Doesn't have big stuff quite yet, may not project all that high with the velocity, was around the zone, showed some spin promise (FB T76) w/quality horizontal movement numbers. CB spin also shows promise (max 2270), w/fading CHG.
INF Aaron Martinez (6'0" 185, R/R), Le Grand HS
Made lasting impression w/bat, which has shown up as an impact tool in multiple viewings. Physical w/plus bat speed and strong barrel awareness. Aggressive stroke w/bat control too. Defensively projects to 3B, where the bat/arm play.
C Derrick Cruz (5'11" 185, R/R), Clovis North HS
Able to participate in workout portion only but showed he's a '22 C to be very aware of. Arm talent shows up (76 mph) and has room to grow. Plays athletically behind plate, w/pops 1.94-2.04. Bat showed power potential and impact talent.
RHP Nick Shows (5'11" 170), Clovis North HS
Three pitch mix, feel of the slider which stands out as his best pitch. The velo of the FB will have to tick up but his stuff does play up due to 6.2" avg extension. Given just a bit more velo and spin (to get more life & bite) and he could pop.
C Conner Smith (6'3" 190, R/R), Capital Christian HS
Strong athletic body. Flashed bat talent & arm/defensive tools that project very favorably for the college game. Arm up to 78 mph in warm-up POPs (2.10 between innings). Made loud barrel contact multiple times, no issue with mid-80s velo.
