Of 10 Big Leaguers from BAWS '07, he's 1st to be named MVP Finalist

BAWS 2007 was a showcase with an incredible amount of talent, including 10 players who would go on to reach the big leagues, with some players who are still very significant players, including Marcus Semien, Stephen Piscotty, Mitch Haniger, and Max Stassi.

After a fantastic 2019 season, particularly his second half, A's SS Marcus Semien has been named one of three finalists for the 2019 American League MVP award, along with Mike Trout and Alex Bregman. The former St. Mary's HS (Berkeley) and Cal star has steadily developed into one of the top players in the game and he looks poised to continue being one of the league's best for years to come.

Semien played in all 162 games this past season and slashed .285/.369/.522 with 43 doubles, 33 homers and 92 RBI
