Bay Area World Series

This event is for 2028-2029 grads, particularly for those interested in being invited to BAWS 2026, but not limited to that interest. The event also provides all the value that BAWS events have... data, metrics, video, exposure via our website and social media, and valuable experience being in a showcase environment.

You will need a registration password to complete this registration. If interested and not yet invited, you can fill out the BAWS Nomination form located via link on the BAWS homepage. You can also email me and ask for a password.

There will be a minimum of 3 teams and a max of 6. Each team will play two games, have a defensive workout (recorded throwing velocities) and batting session (including an exit velocity during the on-field BP session). All position players will run a 60-yard sprint with a 10-yard split also recorded.

I will create a BAWS profile for you within the event link at the BAWS website. Position players will have their defensive workout and BP session video-recorded, pitchers will have their on-field warm-up pitches video-recorded. Catchers will have their receiving video-recorded during the in between inning warm-ups. 

Each roster will be limited to 9 position players (2-way players count as position players) and 8 pitchers (2-way players count as pitchers as well); 3 OF, 3 INF, 1 1B, 2 C. The games will be played under a showcase format (3 outs or 5 batters max). We will start with 0-0 counts, on a HBP or a walk the batter will stay at the plate, the strikes will remain in the count and the pitcher will throw all fastballs.

If you register as a PITCHER ONLY you will NOT take BP or infield/outfield defensive work. Each pitcher will be scheduled for two innings. - $125
 
If you register as a POSITION PLAYER you WILL take BP and participate at ONE defensive position unless I authorize a second position for you. - $200

If you register as a 2-WAY PLAYER (position/pitcher) you WILL participate as all position players do and ALSO participate as a pitcher (will throw two innings). - $325

Top player/performer lists will be created and publicized at the BAWS website. We will also utilize the BAWS social media accounts on Instagram (bayareaws), X (BayAreaWS) and Facebook (bayareaworldseries).
