Joey is athletic middle infielder slightly above average actions on the infield with a slightly above average arm.  At the plate he had quick hands and not much negative load, featured a flat swing and sprayed the ball around the ballpark during batting practice.  He had good in-game pitch selection, hit a few balls hard, walked, and was hit by pitch a few times.  There is some offensive talent here and defensive versatility.  We have seen Riherd steadily improve the last couple of summers, which suggests his arrow is still pointing up.
