Nik has a lean good athletic body athlete that has the opportunity to let him stand out the mound in the near future. From the mound he featured a nice loose arm, but was sapping himself extra velo by having an unusual crouched stance on the mound. He was loosing leverage by not standing tall, pushing hard off his backside to a long stride of momentum, which would allow him to whip his arm to release. Nik's FB was 80 mph and he featured a CB 66. Nik also was not staying behind the baseball as he was peeling off of his delivery early to the 1B side but these are all fixable mechanical things and when ironed out, he has a lot of potential and a fairly high ceiling. Look for more top end velo and late life from his loose arm once he gets control of his mechanics.
