Scott profiles out well as a defensive catcher, he has a strong strong frame and showed good flexability around the plate and was able to block well while featuring soft catchers hands. His pop times were very respecatable, between 2.14 and 2.23. He showed a strong arm and solid throwing mechanics to 2B. How does he get better times? lots of throwing, jump rope and executing with flawless precision the short quick move and throw to 2B over and over. At the plate his physical physique allowed him to drive the ball around the park with a short handsy swing (minimal legs though in his swing). He turned on a FB in during game and smacked it for a 2B. Scott is going to be another catcher at the event who has a bright future.
